Coco-Scalp Ointment 40g

Classification:  General Sales Medicine

Use:  A coconut oil compound ointment to treat dandruff and other dry scaly skin disorders of the scalp such as psoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis and eczema.

Active Ingredients:  Coal Tar Solution BP 12% w/w, Salicylic Acid Ph Eur 2% w/w & Sulphur for External Use Ph Eur 4% w/w. 

Also contains: Coconut oil, white soft paraffin, glycerol, cetostearyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, polyoxyethylene glycerol monostearate, hard paraffin.

Dose:  Apply to scalp daily and leave in contact with the scalp for approximately 1 hour before rinsing or showering.  Use for 3 to 7 days until control has been obtained.  With mild scaliness use intermittently as necessary eg. once a week.

Warnings & Precautions:  If For External Use Only, Do not apply to broken skin & avoid any contact with the eyes.  Not recommended for children under the age of 6 years, and should only be used under medical supervision in children aged 6 to 12 years.  Do not use in pregnancy, if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients, are suffering from any acute infection of the skin, or are suffering from a form of psoriasis which causes the appearance of blisters filled with pus (called pustular psoriasis).
